Storybook Tea Party RAFFLE

The Woman’s Literary Union is holding its 2015
Storybook Tea Party for children and adults!

APL is raffling off two sets of tickets for the
storybook sessions to be held at the historic
Horatio Foss Mansion at 19 Elm St. in Auburn.

Stories and tea! Dolls, clothes, and accessories!

Saturday, May 30

  • Session I: 10:30-12pm
  • Session II: 12:30-2pm
  • Session III: 2:30-4pm

Sunday, May 31

The Randolph Caledcott Medal celebrates the best in children’s picture books. Come on in and check out some of the wonderful Caldecott books we have at the library.
This years winner is:
A Sick Day for Amos McGee by Erin E. Stead

According to the ALA:
“The Medal shall be awarded annually to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children published in English in the United States during the preceding year. There are no limitations as to the character of the picture book except that the illustrations be original work. Honor Books may be named. These shall be books that are also truly distinguished”

Upcoming Programs

Kids Knitting starts tomorrow at 6pm.
Pam Osborn will join us on Friday, March 4th from 5-6 pm for some garden stories as part of our re-scheduled Farmers Market. Come join in the fun!
And don’t forget the free family concert with Earth Jams (Matt Loosigian) on Saturday, March 12 from 2-3 pm in the Androscoggin Community Room. A great way to chase away the winter blues as we wait for spring.

There’s Still Room

There is still room in the Kids Knit program starting this coming Thursday, March 3rd from 6-7 pm in the children’s room with Laurie and Kara. This program is for children ages 8-12. Call the library at 333-6640 ext 3 to register. Kids will learn how to knit a kite bookmark and a mini wallet.
